Tuesday afternoon in PioPio

We headed down the valley and experienced a great tour (even for those of us are not into Hobbits) at Hairy Feet. The scenery was spectacular, we saw examples of faultline uplifts, ribbon rocks, fossils in limestones, amazing forests....we also learnt heaps about the filming process, the mix of on site and studio scenes.
A walk to Waitangaru falls ended our days!
The students were awesome- such good company and with great questions and contributions to the discussions.
