Final Blog 2012

Dear Parents and Students.

We are enjoying being back in the almost finished new building. It has been great to have our last chaotic week up here with the rest of the school

Year 7 & 8 social and leavers dinner.

We really enjoyed the company of all the students and the year 8 parents on Friday evening.  We hope the parents enjoyed it too.

The feed back we have from the students was that they had a great time – but to make it a later finish.

Thank you to the band – Descend and  Sam Verlinden for your entertainment.  We really appreciated the live music.

A Huge thank you to the parents who assisted in the kitchen on Friday evening.

To Annie, Michael, Sue, Jackie and  Angela   - thank you also to Elizabeth who helped with the clean up.

PHOTOS –  from the social evening.

There are some fantastic family photos ( and others) from Friday evening.
I have asked Mr Millar to put them on the school website. If you cannot access these and would like me to email you a particular photo please ask.

Thank you .
Thank you to Isobella Morcom who represented the school at the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at the Auckland Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on Sunday evening.
She did a fantastic reading.
Your contribution to the service and this community event on our behalf is much appreciated.

LAST DAY.
Tomorrow school will conclude at 12.30 – we hope to see all students here.
Year books will be handed out and children who are not returning in 2013 have the opportunity to wear mufti if they donate their uniform to the second hand shop.

HOLIDAYS – Homework –

If you would like you child’s mathletics updated over the holidays – drop me an email and I am happy to do so.

THANK YOU –
We would like to thank the many year 8 parents who have helped out over the two years in the Intermediate School.
Please do let us know how your children are getting on and please fill in the feedback questionaires as this will help us to get better at what we do and how we do it.

Clare Shearman

Best wishes Clare as you venture out into the wider world. We hope you keep in touch.
Bon Voyage..

To our leavers – remember our school values .

Whaia e koe ki te iti kahurangi; ki te tuohu koe, me maunga teitei.   Seek the treasure you value most dearly: if you bow your head, let it be to a lofty mountain.

And always remember –

He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata! He tangata! He tangata! What is the most important thing in the world? It is people! It is people!

Value yourselves, treasure your families and respect others.

Have a happy holidays and we look forward to seeing many of you again in 2013.
